Constitution – The Club, founded in the 1920’s, is a satellite of the Old Albanian Club and is open to non OA members. The Club’s objectives are to promote active participation in the lawful pursuit of the sport of shooting. The Club is affiliated to the National Small-bore Rifle Association (NSRA), and the National Rifle Association (NRA) for full-bore on the Bisley ranges in Surrey..
Facilities – By arrangement with Vauxhall Rifle Club 25 yds, 50 yds/50 mtrs and 100 yds facilities are available, subject to training/vetting sessions on Tuesday evenings at their Club 360 venue in Gypsy Lane, Luton. LU1 3JH. Also, during redevelopment of the School range site, and by arrangement the with Shooting Master, Club members may share use of the Vauxhall range in Luton on Wednesdays, between 2.00pm and 5.00pm, during school term.
Representation – Club members compete at City, County and National level according to ability and residence. Members also assist in the administration of the sport as members and officers of the Hertfordshire Small-bore Rifle Association, Executive Committee.
Programme – Coaching can be provided by qualified Club Instructors. Teams are regularly entered in County and National postal small-bore competitions and shoulder-to-shoulder at the full-bore ranges at Bisley in Surrey. Members are also eligible to enter open meetings organised by the County and other organisations to which the Club is affiliated.
Equipment – All equipment necessary is available free of charge to Club members. Ammunition may be purchased from the Range Officer for use on the range.
Costs – The Hon Treasurer will be pleased to advise on membership rates as appropriate.
